Oblodra1981 (4/1/2012 6:12 PM)
A. I would look to the chain styles for this, as well as the say lo sao and forms. All of these incorporate solo practice for various principles.

Q. the more you work with this will you know when your opponent strikes
maser cayden (1/31/2012 7:06 PM)
A. That is true, and really it's true of developing sensitivity in general. If you're practicing correctly, you begin to be able to sense and anticipate your opponent's intentions and movements before they happen. Conversely, this is what you should also be developing to avoid on your own end that is, telegraphing your motions. This is the idea of 'striking from nothing' or from stillness this plus speed of striking gives an opponent very little reaction time in defense of an attack.
